Social Subjects Plans for Term 4
New S2 will be working on Bouncing through History exploring a range of eras while developing their source handling and decision-making skills. In Geography they will be exploring desert climates.
New S3 in History will be exploring Archaeology Skills and fieldwork. Pupils in Geography will hold a Climate Change Conference then study fluvial geomorphology including a fieldtrip.
New S4 in Geography will be continuing with glaciated scenery before going on to Study the urban environment in Glasgow.
New S4 Historians will be exploring Migration & Empire in Scotland from 1830-1939, with a possible fieldtrip to Newtonmore Folk Museum after the summer break.
New S4 in Modern Studies will start Scottish Democracy including a visit to First Ministers Question Time at Holyrood.
S4 Rural Skills will learn about growing potatoes and other crops and visiting the Community Garden in Moulin.
